Later went to their permanent home in the
village Joymontop at Singair, Manikganj.
Father late Modhu Boyati and Mother

Grandfather late Alam Bepary used to sing
boithoki songs. Father spent his whole life
singing baul and pala songs.

he was arrested by the military backed
interim regime!
2011: Momtaz officially declared marrying
her long-time boyfriend Moinuddin Hassan
Chanchal, who is a physician at the eye
hospital founded by the singer at her
ancestral district.

18. Momtaz established a 50-bed
Momtaz Eye Hospital, in her native
village Joymontop.

under trial at Bohrampur Court in West
Bengal [Poschim Bangla].
According to the allegation, Momtaz
Begum received [US$ 2900] from Shakti
Shanker Bakchi, while she did not appear
