2. I was born in Chicago at Northwestern hospital and raised in the
Pilsen neighborhood. The house in this slide is where I grew up in and
to this day has been in my family since 1963. I currently live in Cicero,
Il. I’m new to Cicero, but feels a lot like Pilsen growing up with way
less violence. I moved there last August to be closer to my son.
3. Hobbies
● Life long passion for baseball, football, basketball, and hockey.
● Hanging out and enjoying every minute with my son.
● Craft beer and food enthusiast.
● Traveling and exploring new places.
● Enjoy learning about history.
4. Minimum Wage
My low wage experience was at Rebbie Data Bank. I would pick, pull,
and deliver storage documents in and around the Chicagoland area. I
was making $8.00 hr. Which was minimum wage at the time. I worked
there for just over 3 months. The reason for that is because the
weekend I signed my insurance papers I was in a terrible car accident.
They didn’t want to cover my accident because I signed my paperwork
on Friday and the paperwork had yet to be sent out. So that meant I
had no job, no insurance and a huge hospital bill.
5. i.c.stars
I’m at i.c.stars because I want a career and not a job. I want to be able to buy a house for
my son so he will always have a place to call home. I would like to be a change agent in
my community and chase my dreams of opening a nonprofit sports complex in Pilsen.
