1. HOPE FOR ANC NORTH WEST PROVINCE: RENEWAL, REBUILDING AND UNITY
UNDER THE THEME: “NEW IDEAS, NEW VISION AND NEW FACES”
ANC in the North West (NW) Province need urgent transformation on the struggle to achieve
renewal, rebuilding and unity, as a hope to progress and development. In pursuing the revolution,
there will be a need to respond appropriately to the challenges with a view to defending and
sustaining the revolution. Urgent need to renew, rebuild and unify the NW ANC using its political
values such as humility, honesty, discipline, mutual respect, constructive criticism, unity, selflessness
and service. To adapt to the ANC developmental strategies and tactics in the NW Province, there
will be a need for new ideas, new vision and new faces to pursue values, principles and mission
required by our revolutionary organisation, mainly as follows:
 Rebuilding the good relationship with Alliance partners, a need for urgent and sustainable
steps to address the fundamental differences as strategic approach to bringing hope in
building unity and cohesion.
 A need for decisive new ideas and new faces in tackling of the challenges in growing the
economy of the NW Province and reducing reliance on social support for survival.
 New vision in the NW Provincial economic recovery, with better allocation of our resources
to address the challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequality. A new approach to
pursue all economic activities that create jobs and empowers our SMMEs especially Women
and young people in the Province.
 New approach to service delivery in our province through its deployees in government, and
supported by ANC structures, acting swiftly on its resolutions on land and agricultural
reforms, dealing with the problems of water and sanitation, service delivery and people’s
participation in local government; youth unemployment, and other issues critical to bettering
the lives of North West residents, especially the poor.
 New effort in tackling corruption and restoring integrity in the NW Province that will lead to
the rebuilding of trust through greater transparency and accountability, including obligatory
reports on meetings held, with anyone, including lobbies by business or any other individual
or groups seeking to influence policies or processes, in the ANC or in government.
 Pursuing the use of technology supported by use of internet and prioritising the data
availability. Use of social media as a hope for better communication and sharing of
information.
New ideas, new vision and new faces will be our approach to renewal, rebuilding and unity in North
West Province. Combination of divergent ideologies and agendas that will find common cause on
the effort to support progressive Province and disrupt all anti-development efforts for social and
economic transformation and pro-poor programmes.
