Major- Communication Studies with focus on Political Rhetoric. Interested in how speakers
convey messages on interpersonal through public modes. Classes I have taken with such a focus
include: Political Rhetoric, Group Communication, Techniques of Interviewing, and Persuasion
Tactics
Minor- Media and Political Science. Classes in these fields that pertain to my career interest are
Media Studies, Short Form Screen Writing, Political Communication, and American
Government.
Job Related Experience
Staff Writer/ Disk Jockey for ACRN Radio at Ohio University: Worked as review writer, tasks
include group meetings discussing various new music and analyzing artists’ techniques and
style. Listen to complete albums and write reviews of said albums. As Disk Jockey would
entertain listeners on Radio with comedic banter and inform listeners of upcoming shows and
events in the Athens Area. Would also give my audience information on upcoming tracks on the
playlist and play underground or alternative music.
AVW Writing team for sketch comedy series “Fridays Live” a spinoff of the program Saturday
Night Live. Tasks include group meeting discussing ideas for new and original comedy sketches.
Writing for particular actors to play characters tailored to actors’ strengths, as well as writing
sketches that were relatable and humorous to a young audience.
