1. Foals – Holy Fire Advert Analysis
This is the advert that Foals used to promote the release of their new
album ‘Holy Fire’ which as the advert states was released on the 11th
of February 2013. This is the main thing that people will be looking
for when they see the advert for this album. They have used block
capitals for the name of their band and also the name of their album.
This makes the name stand out a lot more than it would if it was in
lower case letters.
Along with the release date of the album, they have included names
of shops and online stores where the album will be sold at. As well as
this they have included information for instant access to one of the
songs, “Pre-order now at iTunes for instant access to ‘inhaler’”. This
will encourage more people to go online and download it instead of
waiting for the actual release date.
It is also important that the band include a picture of their album so
that people will recognise it when it comes out in stores, which Foals
have clearly done in this advert. For promotional purposes they have
also included access to a box set which includes exclusive material
that will only be accessible through a pre sale.
