on February 8, 1991 under the name Silicon &
Synapse by three graduates of UCLA, Michael
Morhaime, Allen Adham and Frank Pearce and
is currently a subsidiary of American company
Activision Blizzard.

3. Blizzard operating model
• As a “subsidiary” gaming company, Blizzard
are an integrated operating model owned by a
company called “Activision Blizzard”.
• Activision Blizzard do not produce products
them selves, Blizzard and Infinity Ward do that
under there company name. Blizzard created
and sold the World Of Warcraft franchise,
Diablo franchise and the Starcraft franchise.

Activision Blizzard who also own Infinity Ward
and have worked with companies like
Sledgehammer Games.

• Blizzard are famous for there MMORPG:
World Of Warcraft and more.

• Blizzard own one of if not THE worlds largest
MMORPG.
• But with having to pay to be able to
play, other RPG’s such as Star wars:
TOR, Runescape and Guild Wars 2 being free
to play, the competition is harsh.
