Burnout syndrome (professional burnout syndrome or burnout
syndrome) is a state of chronic stress that occurs as a result of
long-term exposure to emotional , mental and physical
exhaustion at the workplace.
In the medical community, this syndrome becomes ubiquitous
due to the demands of work, long working hours, emotionally
challenging situations, and high levels of responsibility.

ineffectiveness and lack of accomplishment. Burn-out refers
specifically to phenomena in the occupational context and
should not be applied to describe experiences in other areas
of life.
