9. Outlook Calendar Integration Add-On
Problem
Build an easy way to manage events on the
existing Web-portal using MS Outlook.
Solution
It was decided to build Outlook add-on, was
communicating with server via HTTP based
API, and was performing two way
synchronization of events between user’s
Outlook and server.
10. Outlook Integration Module for Real Estate Company
Problem
Application for project management and
control for real estate company, allowing to
manage projects and properties, actions
related to them, documentation and statuses,
notes and alarms.
Provide an easy way to send e-mails for tasks
follow-ups, and register incoming e-mails as
tasks in the system.
Solution
MS Outlook API was used to create e-mails
in users Outlook instance with pre-
populated e-mail body, subject, recipients
and multiple attachments.
Custom Outlook Add-On was built, showing
a button, allowing to import e-mail as task
into the system.
12. E-mails Processing Service
Problem
The goal of the project was to build a
periodic process to monitor mailbox over
IMAP protocol, and based upon certain
patterns on e-mail fields (From, Subject etc.)
mail bodies are converted to PDFs and
together with attachments are put on certain
WIndows shared folders.
Solution
The process was implemented as Windows
service, which was periodically checking
mailbox over IMAP, and was downloading
and archiving mails. For PDFs creation
Pdf2HTML library was used.Windows
service was implemented using Microsoft .
NET framework.
13. E-mails Dispatcher
Problem
People often forget to make CCs of
important e-mails. Build an automatic tool
to forward e-mails to certain mailboxes
based on the predefined rules.
Solution
Periodic process, monitoring e-mails and
making CCs, based on the predefined rules
was built. It is running on a dedicated server
with high frequency (once per several
minutes).
