COVID-19
COMPLETE TESTING SOLUTIONS
In early 2020 Randox recognised the threat from COVID-19 and, based on 40 years of diagnostic experience,
quickly developed a test to accurately identify the virus. Testing at scale commenced within weeks to support
the UK’s National Testing Programme and private clients.
Faced with unprecedented demand we developed our own laboratories, adding over 80,000 square feet
of molecular laboratory space within a few months. We have also developed fully mobile laboratories and
deployable, static laboratories called ‘Cubes’. These are very high throughput remote testing facilities. We
believe this will be very important in the future, we can deploy these cubes to anywhere in the world faced
with high diagnostic demand or inadequate services.
Through the enormous effort and commitment of its staff Randox is subsequently operating at a capacity of
500,000 COVID-19 samples per day, making it the most productive laboratory in the UK and Ireland and
amongst the very largest in Europe. Randox has the largest COVID-19 testing network in the UK and Ireland,
with over 30 Randox testing locations including clinics, travel centres and mobile laboratories, 200+ testing
partners, and 100+ dropbox collection points.
In September 2021, Randox surpassed 17 million gold-standard PCR tests for the National Testing Programme,
representing approximately 21% of all PCR tests executed in the UK.

The Randox Discovery is an exciting and disruptive analyser capable of
consolidating molecular and immunoassay testing on one compact benchtop
platform. The Discovery is comprised of three interconnected modules which

TESTING WITH THE EVIDENCE SERIES
In 2002, Randox invented a world first, Biochip Technology, instantly changing the landscape of diagnostic
testing forever. Biochip Technology is a multi -analyte platform which provides an unrivalled increase in
patient information per sample.
Biochip Technology is a precision multiplex testing platform allowing for the simultaneous quantitative and
qualitative detection of a wide range of analytes from a single sample. Biochip Technology uniquely offers
immunoassay diagnostic testing for simultaneous multi-analyte biomarker detection. After the addition of
a single patient sample to the biochip, analytes present in the sample bind to the specific biochip bound
ligands. The degree of binding is determined using a chemiluminescent light source and quantified using a
Charge Coupled Device (CCD) camera and imaging system.
Instead of a patient sample needing to be subdivided for each test result, or in some cases re-collected, Biochip
Technology offers a diagnostic patient profile with each patient sample. So now the patient’s needs become the
focus, as Biochip Technology delivers the multiple results needed for improved diagnosis.

EVIDENCE MULTISTAT
Fast, Fully Automated & Versatile
The Evidence MultiSTAT is a fully automated immunoanalyser that enables on-
site simultaneousdetection of up to 44 analytes from a single sample. It requires
a small sample volume and generates results in 18 minutes. Toxicology testing
can be done on blood, urine and oral fluid as well as detection of contaminants
from raw milk samples in the dairy industry. This versatile immunoanalyser
offers one million possible combinations for analysis, delivering fast, accurate
