1. Don’t open email
STAY UP TO DATE
attachments from people
you don’t know, or even if
you’re not expecting an
email attachment from
someone you do know.
Avoid logging into
websites at public
computers and if you do,
remember to log out.
Install operating system,
antivirus, browser, and
other software’s security
updates frequently.
BE
AWARE
Frequently back up data off site.
(In the cloud or physical location)
Test backups to make sure they
work and have what you need.
Create strong passwords and don’t use one for everything.
When creating password
reset questions/answers,
use answers that ONLY you
would know, nothing that
someone could easily find
out about you.
Use a good password
manager to keep track of
all your passwords for your
system, bank accounts,
and devices.
Resist the urge to write the
password on a sticky that
you then put on the
screen.
