Design is inspired by the adjacent port and passing bulk carriers.
Play elements include a custom timber ship bow accessible by disabled ramp and ladder .The ships stern includes a
timber wheel house and bridge accessible by disabled ramp and ladder. The central play area includes a pyramid climb-
ing net and sand pit or rubber soft-fall area. Other small incidental items listed in the other designs could be incorpo-
rated in the design, depending on the budget.
Local plant species and rock to be used throughout, with small local white trunk Eucalyptus species planted in and
around play items for shade and aesthetics. All plants safe for a children’s play area. Equipment sourced from custom
and manufactured items.
