Each day brings forth multiple questions. Personal or not, the intrigue of responding is very present
though the answer is not one that will add or take away. The person staring back from within the mirror is
the same person who will look at someone else in a parallel and compare the many differences.
Male and female… Child, teen and adult… My race and yours… Our color and theirs… Close and
distant… Here and there
The only similarity found is the fact that a human will relate themselves to another and find how flawed
they are or not. Coming to realize that being content with oneself isn’t suffice, to then critique in order to
uplift a dying spirit that we’ve, personally, created within ourselves.
We refuse to lean on or speak out to our friend or spouse for fear of what he or she may think. Searching
down and about is much easier, because our emotional expression is able to hide behind our long hair or
the shadowed day. Searching up is the last options, because the mind cannot fathom on how God is
capable, willing and wanting to listen or even understand.

The poetry and stories I write are usually based on daily life, whether personal or from what I see through
my shades. Walking by, riding the train or driving will cause my attention to sway onto a person, place or
thing that will automatically persuade me to create. They are words that crave to embrace the mind, heart
and/or soul of an individual who’s willing to change an aspect of their life.
My name is Marisa Morales-Lopez. I am a wife to an awesome man and a mother of three wonderful
boys. Together we live in Philadelphia, PA and are members of Living Faith Christian Center located in
Pennsauken, NJ. We volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and other community based associations.
I began writing poetry during my junior and high school years and fell in love with the fact that my
imagination was capable of taking flight. Unfortunately, lack of confidence overtook my desire to express
the creativity God had instilled within until faith in Him took path and broke through, allowing me to write
and complete my first novel, “Reminiscence,” which is published by http://electiopublishing.com/.
For more information about me please search, http://marisalopez74.wix.com/marisamoraleslopez, which
connects with Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.
Though time is limited, I expose my works at my home church, associations and Facebook literary groups
I’m connected with.
Thank you for wanting to explore and publish the words written on this screen. If you have any questions
or request, please feel free to contact me via email or cell number.
