Kannoa was founded in 2006 by two childhood friends, Luis
Blasini and Philip Boulton. They set out to build an outdoor
furniture company based on four pillars: Design, Functionality,
Durability and Harmony. From the beginning, they had an innate
sense that these concepts had to guide not only the furniture they
manufactured, but the company itself.
At Kannoa, people come first. We strive for a relaxed, informal
work environment. We consider you, as a client, part of our work
family and offer all our support in the purchasing process.
Knowing there are a myriad of options in outdoor furniture, we
are happy to share what we have learned about outdoor products
to help you make the best choice.
We are proud to offer well-designed, functional pieces made
from only the best raw materials to guarantee long term durability
weathering the elements. All of our furniture can be made in any
of our 20 vibrant colors. If our offering does not meet your needs,

Teak
Characteristics of teak
The wood from the Tectona grandis tree is commonly
known as teak. Although it is native to Southeast Asia,
Kannoa sources its teak from Colombia, South
America where similar climatic conditions have allowed
the species to thrive. Seeds were imported over 60
years ago to Colombia and the trees used for our
furniture are all over 25 years old. Like any natural
material, each plank of teak has its own color and grain
pattern, making each piece of furniture unique.
Teak wood is rich in teak oil, silica and rubber. When it
is dried to a proper moisture level (10% of its original
moisture content), these components make the wood
resistant to the elements and to pests. Our wood is kiln
dried to precisely this level.
Sustainable harvesting
The teak forest is grown and harvested under a regulated sustainability
program based on the standards of the Colombian Institute of
Agriculture (ICA). These standards are the same as those of the Forest
Stewardship Council (FSC) in the United States.

Teak
Care
Teak wood can retain its oils after being felled and
milled. When left alone, the UV exposure will mature
to the wood to a silvery gray color. The use of
cleaning compounds, oils or preservatives is a
common practice but will drastically shorten the life of
the product.
Construction
Kannoa uses mortise and tenon joinery and dowel
reinforcements to create tight joints that, at the same
time, allow for the slight movement of wood due to
natural fluctuations in the humidity of the
environment.

Cushion Fill
Kannoa cushions are constructed with High Resiliency foam and dacron batting for the perfect balance of comfort and durability. Our
standards are of the highest quality.
Water Flow
Our fills are made with high density foam inserts wrapped in Dacron which allows quick water flow and drain through the
cushions. This makes it perfect for any outdoor weather, even places of high humidity. This foam meets CA Technical Bulletin
117.
Outdoor Foam
Our high resiliency foam is ideal for outdoor use in various climates, providing a cozy feel with a contemporary look. With the
proper maintenance and care our cushions are made for durability.
This foam meets CA Technical Bulletin 117.
1. FOAM: 36/18 high density (18, 1.8 lbs/cuft) is a medium firmness used on seat cushions.
2. All cushions are wrapped wih Dacron (bonded polyester) wrap for optimum comfort. Dacron is also water resistant and helps protect the foam
core.
3. Foam and Dacron are sealed with a protective cambric or water proof lining.
Upon request we also offer reticulated foam.
1. Reticulated foam #30 high density with a medium firmness.
2. Reticulated foam #50 high density with a high firmness.
The open cell structure allows water to pass through easily. This drainable property is perfect for areas in which cushions may get wet. Simply tip the
cushion on en and watch the water run out. leave them in the sun for a few minutes and they’re ready to sit on.
Add Dacron wrap to make your cushions plush and full.

If a component part (glide, bolt, wheel, etc.) fails due to manufacturing defect within three years from the date of purchase, we will at factory option, repair

COMPOSITE OR STONE TOPS – Five (5) Years (Residential) - Three (3) Years (Commercial)
If a composite tabletop fails structurally within three years from the date of purchase, we will, at factory option, repair or replace the table top, in the original
color and style if available, or in a similar color and style if original has been discontinued. Some of the tabletops have painted decorations, which may fade
when exposed to direct sunlight. This fading is excluded from the warranty. See other exclusions under the Exclusions section.

Warranty
LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty is a limited warranty, and applies to the original purchaser only. Proof of purchase is required. Photographs may be required in certain
instances. Warranty coverage begins on the date of purchase. In some cases, there will be a pro-rated charge for the time the product was in use. Freight
charges are not covered under warranty.
Color Fastness: Premium and Silver - Three (3) Years | Standard - Five (5) Years
EXCLUSIONS
Failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use, fire, freight damage, acts of nature (such as, but not limited to, freezing or high winds),
extreme climate conditions, suntan oil or other chemicals, normal fading, scratching, or chipping of the finish, fading, weathering or staining or discoloration
of furniture, accidental damage repair or modifications by consumer, glass breakage; normal wear and tear are
excluded from the warranty.
WINTER STORAGE
All furniture should be stored in an upright position to allow for proper water drainage. Storing furniture upside-down may cause water to accumulate and
freeze inside the frame, causing serious structural damage that is not covered by warranty.
RETURN OF FURNITURE
If it becomes necessary to return furniture, the original purchaser must provide proof of purchase when making a claim. Photographs may be required in
certain instances. Prior written authorization from the factory is required to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. This RA number must be attached
to each piece of furniture returned to the factory. For additional information or service, contact your KANNOA dealer.
