1. ENTERTAINING: Holiday Wrap Party
Text by Mariah Giblin
1) The Idea
It’s the same every year: you’re up late at night in
the kitchen wrapping gift after gift after gift. This
holiday season, change it up and host a Holiday
Wrap Party! Invite your friends over for some food,
fun and gift-wrapping.
2. 2) It’s in the Details
Designate an area in the house—your craft room,
the kitchen or even the dining table—where you
and your guests will wrap. Then lay out all of the
accouterments: wrapping paper, single and
double-sided tape, ribbons, stick-on bows and
gift tags. Serve your favorite winter treats like
different varieties of soups or small bites and
maybe mull some spiced wine or cider.
3. 3) Make a Memory
Take time to sit down and spend time with
friends who you may have not seen during the
hustle and bustle of the holidays. Snap a
picture with your guests and send it to them in
a pretty frame; you’ll spread cheer and they
will always remember the good times you
spent together. Get creative with gift giving
this year and send the soup recipe you served
along with a mug for a creative Christmas
“happy.”
