Dear Hiring Manager,
I'm an electronic engineer, graduated at the University of Naples Federico II (110/110, MS
degree).
I have gained an experience of four years on embedded systems, in the avionic, aerospace and
defence and telecommunication fields, with several companies of the Finmeccanica group.
Working at Selex ES, in the context of the NATO AGS WBDL II project, as FPGA designer, I
was able to greatly improve my knowledge in the field of digital design on programmable logic
devices, and in the soft core processors programming in C field as well. Knowledge, further
expanded, also thanks to the series of training courses held by Xilinx Authorized training
Providers (ATPs) which I've attended.
All this has greatly enriched my knowledge, previously acquired at SESM s.c.a.r.l.,a pre-
competitive research laboratory of the Finmeccanica group.
Throughout my career, I had the privilege to work in various fields, dealing, among other things,
with: design, simulation, debugging and integration of complex IP cores in VHDL, firmware
development for embedded systems, maintenance and enhancement of legacy firmware and
VHDL code, integration of IP cores and firmware modules in preexisting complex embedded
systems, writing process of bare metal drivers, MBD design in Simulink, writing technical
documentation, participation in technical meetings in English language, article writing and
presentation at international conferences.
This multiplicity and variety of experiences, has allowed me to gain a very good familiarity,
combined with an excellent overview of the development of complex embedded systems based
on FPGA platform and hardcore embedded processors as well, both in terms of HW / SW view
and of system integration.
Given my professional background, my studies in Electronic Engineering and my in-depth
theoretical and practical knowledge of the design of embedded systems, based on COTS or full-
custom HW platforms, of the Linux O.S., of VHDL and of all the Xilinx tools (Vivado, ISE, Isim,
Chip Scope Pro SDK, XPS, System Generator, AccelDSP), ModelSim, of many Altera tools, of
Matlab, Simulink and several toolboxes, I think of being suitable to operate in the embedded
systems industry and in that of digital design, whilst remaining always conscious of having to
continue to expand my technical and cultural knowledge.
I acquired proficiency of the instruments and the fields aforementioned, at work, and during the
course of my college career.
I also had major publications in internationally recognized magazines, whose links are attached
in the CV.
