The Porsche Supercup is celebrating its 30th
anniversary, and we are more than happy
that you will be part of the celebrations this season.
The 2022 season will start on exactly the same circuit where the Porsche Supercup
story began, on 25 April 1993: the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. One of this year’s
highlights will definitely be the addition of the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet.
The French circuit joins the illustrious ranks of classic race tracks including Monaco,
Silverstone, Spielberg, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and Zandvoort.
And this year‘s anniversary season will once again see the very best driving performances
and thrilling duels on Europe‘s most beautiful race tracks – of course, sharing the stage
with the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, which makes the Porsche Supercup the
most international one-make series in the world.
From the balanced mix of experienced drivers and new faces, a new champion will
emerge and go down into the history books – one who embodies the guiding principle
of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup: Equal opportunities, fairness, the highest sporting
standards and an iron will to stand at the top of the podium.

SERIES FACTS
RACES
The 2022 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup calendar consists of
8 races. Each race will run over a distance of approximately
70 km. If the planned distance for the race has not been
completed by the leading driver after 30 minutes, the leading
driver will receive the chequered flag the next time he passes
the control (timing) line.
FREE PRACTICE
One Practice Session of up to 45 minutes will be scheduled
for each competition. For the first pre-start of the season,
the order of the cars will be determined by a draw. For
competitions thereafter, the order of the cars in the pre-start
is determined by the classification of the preceding race.
QUALIFYING
One Qualifying Session will be held at each competition,
normally of 30 minutes duration (the precise duration will
be announced within the timetable of the respective event).
All participants must qualify for the respective race. Admission
to the starting grid and the races is dependent on the result
of the Qualifying Session.
STARTING GRID
The starting grid for the race will be determined by the
fastest times achieved in qualifying. Should any grid place
penalties be applicable, these will be applied in the order in
which the relevant offences occurred.
OVERALL CLASSIFICATION
The Overall Classification is the official driver championship
classification of the series.
ProAm CLASSIFICATION
The ProAm Classification is a separate classification for
drivers without a professional motor racing background.
The minimum age to enter the ProAm Classification is
35 years. The points are allocated according to the points
system of the Overall Classification.
ROOKIE CLASSIFICATION
A Rookie is a driver participating in his first season in the
series who has participated in no more than 5 races of the
Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in previous years. The maximum
age for participation in the Rookie Classification is 25 years
(the driver must be no more than 25 at the final date of entry).
TEAM CLASSIFICATION
The Team Classification is independent of the Driver
Classification. The points of two cars entered under the
same competitor licence are added for the team ranking.
Points for the Team Classification are awarded according to
the official overall race result, irrespective of classification.
GUEST DRIVERS
The series Organiser may permit Guest Drivers to participate
in individual competitions. Guest Drivers participate with a
car that is entered for only one competition and without a
previously existing competition number for the entire series.
Guest Drivers may participate in a car that has been used
by a previous Guest Driver with the same or different
competition number.
PORSCHE JUNIOR
A Porsche Junior is a driver officially nominated and supported
by Porsche AG and who has successfully completed the
Porsche AG selection process. The Porsche Junior for the
2022 season of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is Laurin
Heinrich. Only Porsche Juniors are permitted to use the
Porsche Junior branding and labels.
EQUALITY OF POINTS
If an equal number of points is achieved by more than one
driver, the positions in the final classification are based on
the highest number of first place results, then second place
results and possibly all further results achieved in the 2022
Series. If, after application of this rule, a tie still exists, the
decision is made based on the better results of the final race.

TITLE, PRIZE MONEY AND TROPHIES
In 2022, Porsche AG is allocating over EUR 700,000 in prize
money for the Driver and Team Classifications. Please see
regulations for the applicable conditions. The highlight of
the championship is that the Overall Winner will be awarded
the title Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Champion 2022 and will
be provided with a new Porsche road car. The driver with
the highest number of pole positions from all races will
receive a watch. If two drivers achieve the same number of
pole positions, the prize will be awarded to the driver who
achieved that number first.

All competitors will drive the latest version of the Porsche
911 GT3 Cup. The four-litre flat six engine develops a peak
performance of 375 kW (510 hp), making it the most power-
ful race car in the history of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

regulations. The technical scrutineers perform the technical
inspections on the cars. All vehicles are technically identical,
as are the tyres from Michelin and the fuel – guaranteeing

Porsche and Michelin share a close and successful partnership that goes back to 2002 – a
cooperation that encompasses tyres for production models through to all motorsport activities.
Both in the Porsche works programmes as well as in most of Porsche’s worldwide one-make cup
series, drivers, teams and organisers rely on the high performance tyres from France. Michelin is
a company with tradition and motor racing experience. The first race victory with Michelin tyres
was achieved in 1891 – back then on a road bicycle in the 1,200-kilometre nonstop Paris-Brest-
Paris race.
EXXONMOBIL
Porsche and Mobil 1™ – an uncompromising partnership. Hardly any other brand embodies
the fascination for sports cars as much as Porsche. Porsche is synonymous with exceptional
performance and a thrilling ride. Highly developed Mobil 1™ lubricants are one of the fundamental
elements that make this possible. The two brands have worked closely together for many years
to achieve outstanding results, both on the road and in motorsports. Porsche has chosen Mobil 1™
as factory-fill since 1996 which helps Porsche cars to perform to their full potential whilst ensuring
optimal protection. The many successes in the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC can
be attributed to Mobil 1™ and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup carries the name as title sponsor.
HUGO BOSS
In 2019, Porsche and HUGO BOSS entered into a multi-year cooperation agreement. As the official
clothing partner, HUGO BOSS equips the entire Porsche Motorsport team – worldwide, both on
the race tracks and in the workshops. The brand partnership of the two companies also covers
other areas away from motor sports: for example the “Porsche x BOSS” capsule collection, which
is launched twice per year and sold in the BOSS stores as well as in the online shops.
ESSO
ExxonMobil and Porsche are testing advanced biofuels and renewable, lower-carbon eFuels, as
part of a new agreement to find pathways toward potential future consumer adoption. The first
iteration of Esso Renewable Racing Fuel is a blend of primarily advanced biofuels and is specially
formulated by ExxonMobil’s in-house team of scientists and engineers. Analysis indicates the
potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions with a liquid fuel. The fuel is tested
in race conditions with Porsche’s high-performance motorsports engines from 2021 on in the
Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race series.
APP-TECH
As a leading producer of lightweight road and race wheels made of forged aluminium or magnesium
alloys, App-Tech equips all Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. With its headquarters in northern Italy,
the company can look back on more than ten years of experience in motorsport and has already
celebrated successes in many different racing series. The high quality standards, short delivery
times and the perfect wheel design for the requirements of Cup cars make App-Tech a valued
partner who also is sponsoring the Rookie Programme.
PUMA
PUMA, the globally active sports lifestyle brand is the exclusive technical partner of the whole
Porsche Motorsport team for fireproof racing clothing as well as shoes and luggage. The PUMA
logo is featured on all racing clothing of the Porsche factory drivers and pit crews, who are
equipped with the latest innovations in fireproof motorsport clothing. The entire Porsche
Motorsport team worldwide wears PUMA shoes and travels with PUMA travel equipment.

VELTINS
Tradition and quality – two values shared by long-term partners Porsche and Brauerei C. A. VELTINS.
The partnership with Porsche is familiar terrain for the brewery from the Sauerland region of
Germany: VELTINS has been sponsoring motorsport since 1997 and has supported the Porsche
one-make cups as a partner for several years. In the Porsche Hospitality at the racetracks,
VELTINS complements the freshly drafted VELTINS Pilsener with a variety of trendy beer mixes
and refreshing, non-alcoholic drinks. Like Porsche, VELTINS places great importance on unique
design. In 2009, for example, the famous VELTINS returnable crates were developed in cooperation
with the Porsche design studio, underlining VELTINS’ high standards and pure passion.
HAZET
Hazet can now call on more than 150 years of experience in producing quality hand tools, tool
trolleys and workshop equipment for professional use. This makes the company a strong partner –
and is the reason for Hazet partnering up as the official supplier for over 25 years now. The
Remscheid-based enterprise supplies Porsche Motorsport with special tools at the racetracks
as well as the motorsport workshops in Weissach.
STILO
Stilo was founded in 1999 and has its roots in the WRC, where in the year 2000 the world’s
first open-face helmet designed around the intercom was launched. In 2003, Stilo created the
first Bluetooth intercom for motorbikes. The Italian enterprise celebrated its first World Rally
Championship with Sébastien Loeb in 2005, and many more successes with its innovations in
its industry. Stilo’s connection with Porsche started in 2016 with the development of a new racing
communication system via radio for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and with Romain Dumas’s
victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Stilo helmets exemplify top functionality and include
everything a driver needs: intercom, connections, earmuffs, and a drinking system. In 2019,
Stilo partnered up with Porsche Motorsport as the new helmet supplier for the Porsche factory
squad: chosen for product safety, weight, noise cancellation and also Stilo’s first-class service.
SACRED
SACRED has been one of London’s leading tea and coffee brands since 2005. The roots of the
company go even deeper with SACRED’s tea grown in plantations in Sri Lanka run by SACRED
owner Tubbs Wanigasekera’s family and the coffee roasted in UK and Europe. SACRED offers an
exquisite coffee experience with a range of blends single origin coffee, using only 100% Arabica
beans. SACRED has been the official coffee of the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain since 2010.
In 2015 the partnership with Porsche was extended to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with the
European WEC races Le Mans 24hr added in 2017 and Tag heuer Porsche Formula e from the
