Discourse Analysis of the Major. Gen. Asif Ghafoor Bajwa's speech on the situation of February 26, 2019.

2. Abstract
In this research, analyze the transcript of the
speech and apply Fairclough three dimension theory
on the text of the speech to find the future strategy of
Pakistan against India. Pakistan gave the massage to
the International community and opponents. The
major points that are highlighted by former Director
General of Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR)
Major General Asif Ghafoor defined about Self-
defense strategy, told about capability, capacity, will
and resolve, peace, war is devastating, common
problems’ solution, and media reporting. These points
are interpreted and analyzed by the researcher.

4. Data Collection
The transcript of the speech gets from video.
Speech is based on Urdu Language but some phrases
and clauses are in English. The text translated in
English language by Researcher.

5. Research Methodology
The research is qualitative in nature. The
application which is used for research is Fair Clough three-
dimensional model. This model is consisting of three-
dimensions.
We see the original text of the speech.
We analyze the text and do discursive practice of the
text.
We see the social practice of interpreted text in the
context in which it is applicable.

6. They are more for your self-defense than using them.
Pakistan Armed forces also have capability, capacity,
will, and public support.
we are a responsible state and we want peace, this
morning when the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was to take
that target, first of all we decided that we would not take
any military target.
The people also sent a message of peace and we do not
want to take the region to war under any circumstances.

7. When the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) took these targets,
two Indian Air Force (IAF) Jets entered the territory of
Pakistan in violation of the Line of Control (LOC). The
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was ready, they took them on
and there was an engagement between them as a result
of which both the Indian Jets were shot down. The
wreckage of one of them fell on us and the other fell on
them. In addition, there are reports of another Indian Jet
sinking a little further inland, with which we have not
been engaged. Two pilots were captured by our army,
they were treated in a civilized way.
The war is easy to start as the Prime Minister said, but
no one knows where it ends.
If you say we need to give our people education, health
and employment, let's sit down and talk.

8. “They should also come forward and see
how the environment between India and
Pakistan are a threat to peace and
development not only between the two
countries but in the region and beyond.”
I request the Pakistani media to continue
objective reporting. Today's reporting is
responsible. Today's reporting is a matter of
peace.

10. ISPR is the public relation and press releasing
department of Pakistan Army that convey the message
or information from the army to the general public and
International community. Therefore, it always is in the
interest of Pakistan but generally the Director General
of Inter Services Public Relations conveys peace massage
to India. Pakistan did not want any type of war and
chaos. Pakistan wants the solution of the entire problem
between India and Pakistan by table talk that is the
positive face of Pakistan. So, it leads advantages to the
both nations.
