Manish Reference Letter - Logistics Workgroup
1. 1
Bremen, September 9th, 2015
Dear Madam or Sir,
This letter is intended to serve as a recommendation for Mr Manish Kumar, whom I have known as my
student assistant (01/2015 - 06/2015). Jacobs University is an English speaking private university. Our
student body is highly international (over 100 nations are represented) and admission is extremely
competitive. Mr. Kumar is currently a member of the International Logistics study program and is
expected to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in June 2016.
I hired Mr. Kumar to assist me in collecting and analysing data for a research project where he
successfully adapted a standard market research format to the specific situation and demonstrated
analytical and written communication skills in conducting and presenting the results independently. As
part of the project, Mr. Kumar managed to develop a large case study database based on primary and
secondary data and support me to perform qualitative data analysis. He also had to contact several
people in order to schedule interviews. His self-reliant, diligent work and open, confident
communication earned him and his work much appreciation. He successfully balanced his job
workload with his other duties arising from the study program and his active involvement in campus
activities. Mr. Kumar was clearly able to build upon his previous knowledge gathered and his support
was very important for my research.
Mr. Kumar has completed all his assigned tasks diligently, completely, on time and to my complete
satisfaction. I wish him all the best for future academic and professional endeavours. Moreover, I’m
convinced that he will be a valuable addition to your team
