PROJECTS INVOLVED:
1. Technology Exploration & Management cell-
• Main Objective of this Team is to identify, study, validate and standardize technologies,
components, which will lead to innovative product/process opportunities and also to
optimise the cost, quality and productivity of existing products and processes.
• Team Size 4
Duration 8 Months.
• Major projects under TEMC are as follows.
1.1. New Technology/Component Evaluation
1.1.1. Ambient Light Sensor.
• The ALS-PDIC17-79NB/TR8 is a digital-output light sensor with a
two-wire, I2C serial interface & it has High dynamic sensing range
and from 0 to 220000 Lux.
• In this Project, LPC2368-Micro controller is used for the prototype,
Keil IDE is used.
• Interface between the Master Controller and the Sensor is I2C
and LCD Interfacing is used for displaying the Light intensity
values.
3. • Prototype Testing is completed and New Idea for Ambient light
monitoring device for daylight and artificial light.
• I Suggested it as Light measurement meter by doing dark room
testings and compare with other ambient light sensor data it‘s
error percentage was less when compared to other sensors and its
measurement value was near to Standard Luxmeter(CL-200).
1.1.2 Sensors Testing Pcb:
• Temperature and Humidity Sensor(HDC1000) ,ALS and
Proximity(VL6180X),Pressure Sensor(BMP280),RGB
Sensor(VEML6040) are interfacing to LPC812M Controller
• In this Project, LPC812m-Micro controller is used for the
prototype, Keil IDE is used.
• Different testings for sensor and working on gesture application
with proximity sensor
1.2. Standardization
1.2.1. 232 to 485 & 232 to Opto Communication Circuit.
• 232 to 485 Communication circuit in different projects are
standardized and gave the standardized solution for new designs.

1.3. Alternates for Optimizing Cost & Quality
1.3.1. Dc-Dc Converters.
• Various Low Cost alternates are searched , tested and finalized for

• Majorly while testings, Megger unit and Surge Generator,Thermal
Imager are used effectively.
1.3.2. QC Work Instructions.
• For Quality assurance of the components inwarded,Proper Work
instructions are given to achieve the less failures in the
components.
1.4. Process Improvement
1.4.1. Multimeter-GDM360:
• Suggested and Evaluated the multimeter for quick testing and it
has RS-232 Interface to log the data in continuous testings.
1.5. Failure Analysis & Obsolete Management
1.5.1. Failure Analysis on different components from R&D and CS Departments.
1.5.2. Alternates for obsolete Components & Evaluation.
