2. INTRODUCTION
 Established in 1806 at Calcutta as bank of Calcutta.
 It was nationalized on 1955 and was rename as STATE
BANK OF INDIA.
 It is the oldest bank of Indian sub-continent.
 Head quarter-corporate Centre at Mumbai.
 Largest branch network in India with 16000 branches.
 Over 8500 ATM’s.

 There are 12 directors in its central board.
 Shri Rajnish Kumar is the chairman
of State Bank of India.

4. RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION
 Recruitment:
The process of generating a pool of qualified
candidates for a particular job.

5. RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE
 Vacancies:

6.  Eligibility criteria
Academic
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized
University or any equivalent qualification recognized as
such by the Central Government.

7.  Examination centers
The examination will be conducted online in venues
across many centers in India.
 Reservation :
Vacancies are reserved category wise.
 Pre-examination training :
Bank arrange pre-examination training at certain centres
for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates.

8.  Advertisement
After planning all the criteria, bank release advertisement
regarding information about the hiring process and
number of post, designation, skilled required, location.

9.  How to apply
All interested eligible people need to apply online by
registering themselves to the banks official website provided
with the registration form
Required to pay the application fee byRequired to pay the application fee by
online payment of certain mentioned
amount.
Admit card will be provided.

10. SELECTION PROCEDURE
There are three phase of selection test-
 Phase-I : Preliminary Examination:
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100
marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hourmarks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour
duration consisting of 3 Sections.
 Phase – II: Main Examination:
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200
marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the objective
and Descriptive Tests will be online.

11.  Phase – III: Group Exercises & Interview:
The Bank will conduct Group Exercises and Interview
in phase III.
The interview in phase III is the
selection interview.

12.  Final selection and placement
Only the marks obtained in
Phase-II will be added to the
marks obtained in Phase-III
for preparation of the finalfor preparation of the final
merit list.
According to candidates ability, they are placed in right
place for right job.
