2. Objective
• This course requires a website. This website can be hosted on your choice of platforms.
At minimum, your website must include:
Bio - a short statement, do not "overshare," keep it professional
Project Development - see project assignments for dates and details
Artist Research - TBD
Finished Works - TBD
• Organize and format this content in a manner that encourages clear navigation of the
content for your online audience. The class work can be under a tab for Sculpture if you
have multiple pages already. For Websites for this class: there are two primary
approaches to navigation and organization.
• Bio page
• Works in Progress, Reading, and Research Page (or blog)
• Finished Work Page
• A Page for each Project which would include WIP, Artist Research, Finished documentation
• Reading quotes and responses
• A brief description of your response to the project assignment
3. Requirements
1. Homepage that includes all pages: Bio, Project Development, Artist
Research, Finished Works
2. At least 3 images of figure modeling project in Finished Works page
(best 3 shots from different angles) lighting properly: one of them must
be 45 degree angle
3. Images of 3 past works with captions (title, dimensions, medium, year)
in Finished Works page *can be 2D
4. Images of 100 drawings in Project Development page
5. 2 artists research and update on Artist Research page
4. Artist Research / Finished Works
• Artist Research:
For each project, include visual research such as images of nature, developing a list of ideas, studying artwork by other artists, and
so on.
When including information about artists:
• Post 2 images of artworks you find compelling - include artist name, artwork media, artwork year
• 2-3 sentences of bio details for the Artist
• 2-3 sentences describing why you chose this artist or artwork
• 2-3 sentences connecting this artists/artwork to our class and/or current project
• List of sources
• Finished Works :
At the conclusion of each project, document your finished work and post on your website.
For each, at minimum, this documentation must include:
• Final Title of finished piece
• At least 3 images of work with different views with detail views (please avoid blurry images with random stuff in the background)
• List of dimensions and materials used
• A brief description of your response the project assignment

• vDesktop Instruction:
If you want to use Photoshop on your computer but you do not have one, Please access this
link https://vdesktops.atu.edu/portal/webclient/index.html#/ and following the direction below:
1. Enter your ATU user name and password
2. Click "Login"
3. Click "STU_vDesktop" it is on the top of the categories with computer image
4. Now, you are in the ATU computer on the only webpage
5. Click Start mark on the left bottom, and select Photoshop
6. Sign in with ATU email
7. Select "Company and School Account"
8. Enter your ATU user name and password
Now, please download your data on the page, for instances, on another web page, go to your email and send your data, then go
back to virtual ATU desktop page, open your email, and download your file on the virtual ATU desktop. The page does not
synchronize your computer but only the web page. After done, Please send your file to your email or save in your Cloud drive
on the web page otherwise you will lose the data. Additionally, if you use Mac, the keyboard on the page outputs Widows
version and the reaction on the page might be slower than usual. You may need a little patience.
10. How to edit photos using Photoshop
• Place (Where you can use Photoshop software)

ATU library on the third floor and in the room 210.
12. Resize - Photoshop
• If your jpg file is larger than 2MB, you must resize the file.
• If you have Photoshop software, please follow the directions below
-Open the file on Photoshop
-Image > Image Size…
-1500 -2000 pixels in the longest dimension would be good to start (but it depends on the photo
quality)
-Resolution – 72ppi
-Save the file and check the file size and you keep adjust the size until it gets 1-2MB.
13. Resize – Adobe Free Online Image Resizer
• If you do not have Photoshop software, you can go to Adobe Online

14. Labeling
Captions must include:
1. Title
2. Dimensions *always Height x Width (x Depth)
3. Medium
4. Year
5. (optional) Description *a brief explanation of
your work in 2-3 sentences
