Background
► Max Popko is a Manager based in EY’s Detroit, Michigan
office.
► Max specializes in all aspects of transfer pricing including
planning, documentation, TP advisory support of US GAAP
and IFRS audits and operating model restructuring.
► In 2013 Max graduated from Kyiv Investment Management
Institute, Ukraine and earned a specialist’s degree in
economics (BA equivalent).
► Max is a Certified Accounting Practitioner under USAID
CAP/CIPA program and has a Diploma in International
Financial Reporting from the Association of the Chartered
Certified Accountants (UK).
► Max fluently speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian.
Experience
► Max has over 5 years of experience in providing tax advisory
assistance to international clients across various industries,
including automotive, robotics, agriculture, oil and gas, logistics,
air, railway and ground transportation, industrial machinery, and
telecommunications.
► Prior to joining EY’s Detroit office, Max worked in EY’s Kyiv,
Ukraine office where he provided assistance to European and US
clients on transfer pricing, business advisory covering corporate
tax, value added tax, withholding tax, and tax support within M&A.
► Before Max has started his professional advisor career with EY in
2010, he worked as a Tax Director in the biggest Ukrainian airline.
