 Small number of people can cultivate great
quantity of food with less input.
 In Pakistan, various farming operations have
become easier due to use of machines.
 Dry areas have been in position grow
healthy crops.
*TECHNOLOGY HAS IMPROVED TRANSPORTATION:
 Easier to travel long distances in a short span of time.
 Proved to be the reason behind increased growth.
*TECHNOLOGY HAS ENHANCED COMMUNICATION:
“Technology is best when it brings people together.”
 Using of different applications in office work for
communication and for delivering important information.
Essential for the development of an organization.
 Communication technologies can be used to persuade,
entertain and inform the society.
*TECHNOLOGY HAS IMPROVED EDUCATION AND LEARNING
PROCESS:
“Technology will not substitute great trainers but technology in
the hands of great trainers can be transformational”
 To enhance lessons.
Many educational applications allow students and teachers to give-
and-take academic information any time.
In Pakistan educational technologies are replacing our textbooks.
The impact that technology has on today’s schools is quite
significant and can be witnessed in many schools.
Multimedia is also available in many universities
*REDUCED RISK TO HUMAN LIFE:
 Machines can accomplish everyday jobs that are not
feasible for human to perform.
Artificial intelligence and robotics are proving to be
supportive in life-taking works.
Mechanized many essential industrial processes.
*ENTERTAINMENT AND ADVERTISING:
Advertisement reaches the masses in few seconds.
Home entertainment has improved.
*MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY:
Diagnostics have never been easier and as accurate as it is
right now.
Minutest-invasive surgeries, better checking systems, and
more comfy scanning equipment are allowing patients to
spend less time in recovery and more time enjoying a healthy
life.
Patients can have the treatment done in a hospital or clinic
nearest to their home.
In Pak, doctors and scientist are trying their best to bring
something useful and helpful for the people.
*BUSINESS:
Minor business proprietors can minimize business
expenditures.
Business technology helps to computerize old office tasks.
 Businesses can increase their employees' productivity .
Use of biometric attendance systems.
Use Internet advertising to reach new markets and
customers.

*HEALTH:
The effect on our social, mental, physical and
environmental health can be devastating .
Using headphones and hands-free can cause to lose hearing
ability.
Neck pain, Headaches, blurred vision and migraines.
Anxiety, phobias and delusions.
In Pakistan basic health facilities are not within the reach of
a poor man.
Government hospitals lack resources.
*AGRICULTURE:
Pakistan is a still stuck in the old methods of farming,
because of the illiteracy of farmers they don’t believe in
modernization and use of technology.
*SOCIAL ISOLATION:
People are spending more time playing video games, learning
the use of modern technology, using social networks and are
lagging behind in real life.
People who are socially isolated tend to live shorter life .
Losing the ability to read body language and to understand
others.
*HIGHER ENERGY CONSUMPTION:
Devices are becoming more efficient, but causing a higher
consumption of energy.
Usually people don’t have a habit of turning off their devices.
Increase in harmful gas emissions.
*OBESITY:
Obesity is a condition where excess body fat negatively affects
people’s health or well-being.
People are spending less time being active or exercising.
They are becoming lazy and their communication skills are
declining rapidly.
*POOR SLEEPING HABITS:
The light from the devices suppresses melatonin.
Keeping a mobile or any other device within reach can still
disturb slumber.
Devices are physically and mentally dominating.
*IMPACT ON ENVIRONMENT:
Air pollution
 Global warming
Destruction of natural environment
* INCREASED CYBER-BULLYING:
Cyber-bullying is when a student use the internet, cell-phones,
or other technological devices with the intention to hurt,
embarrass, threaten, humiliate, or intimidate their victim.
Increase in teen suicides.
Now-a-days more kids are getting engage in bullying.
*TECHNOLOGY AS A THREAT TO PRIVACY:
The use of viruses and hacking makes it possible to find
desirable information.
People even don’t think twice while updating every move they
make, freely provide their locations and sharing their entire
life story on Facebook.
Criminals can take any type of pictures to blackmail people.
*EXPENSES:
Implementation of technology in the industry or business
requires high finance.
Company has to also bear updating expenses with the
passage of time.
Personnel for running the program and maintaining the
infrastructure becomes very costly.
*UN-EMPLOYMENT:
Jobs are available for only persons with the capacity of
doing the job of more workers.
A lot of middle and lower middle level jobs have been done
away.
Since the technology changing day-by-day one has to keep
learning or updating his/her knowledge or skills otherwise
the job he/she is doing currently is not secure.
*MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY:
Hidden dangers if you aren’t alert. The user must have
appropriate awareness of the device.
The infinite medical knowledge is available on internet
about each and every problem or disease, which is not
necessarily a good thing.
Health care providers depend too heavily on these
technologies and don’t spend enough time getting to know
their patients.
*EDUCATION:
Losing the skills to use their own mind or to read and think.
 Being ever connected to the online world has resulted in lack
of concentration and determination.
The writing skill of today’s generation is weakening.
By using auto –correct facility, people are losing their capability
to spell properly.
In Pakistan, all the latest technologies are not available in all
educational institutes.
*BUSINESS:
Unemployment increases, because in online work the
businesses have no need to maintain big offices.
For smaller stores/shops it is more difficult to compete with
both Internet businesses and larger retail stores.
The Installing monitoring software in the workplace is
creating trust issues.
Computer software’s upgrading can be expensive.

Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master.

  • 12. *MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY: Diagnostics have never been easier and as accurate as it is right now. Minutest-invasive surgeries, better checking systems, and more comfy scanning equipment are allowing patients to spend less time in recovery and more time enjoying a healthy life. Patients can have the treatment done in a hospital or clinic nearest to their home. In Pak, doctors and scientist are trying their best to bring something useful and helpful for the people.

  • 19. *OBESITY: Obesity is a condition where excess body fat negatively affects people’s health or well-being. People are spending less time being active or exercising. They are becoming lazy and their communication skills are declining rapidly.

  • 24. *EXPENSES: Implementation of technology in the industry or business requires high finance. Company has to also bear updating expenses with the passage of time. Personnel for running the program and maintaining the infrastructure becomes very costly.
  • 25. *UN-EMPLOYMENT: Jobs are available for only persons with the capacity of doing the job of more workers. A lot of middle and lower middle level jobs have been done away. Since the technology changing day-by-day one has to keep learning or updating his/her knowledge or skills otherwise the job he/she is doing currently is not secure.
  • 26. *MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY: Hidden dangers if you aren’t alert. The user must have appropriate awareness of the device. The infinite medical knowledge is available on internet about each and every problem or disease, which is not necessarily a good thing. Health care providers depend too heavily on these technologies and don’t spend enough time getting to know their patients.
  • 27. *EDUCATION: Losing the skills to use their own mind or to read and think.  Being ever connected to the online world has resulted in lack of concentration and determination. The writing skill of today’s generation is weakening. By using auto –correct facility, people are losing their capability to spell properly. In Pakistan, all the latest technologies are not available in all educational institutes.
  • 28. *BUSINESS: Unemployment increases, because in online work the businesses have no need to maintain big offices. For smaller stores/shops it is more difficult to compete with both Internet businesses and larger retail stores. The Installing monitoring software in the workplace is creating trust issues. Computer software’s upgrading can be expensive.
