In today’s computational and technological environment employees are work in virtual
place.
Due to tight labor market, Employers, employee & end user require workplace flexibility
so , companies taking interest flexibility in work & place by using technology.
A virtual workplace is a workplace that is not located in any one physical space.
Technology developed such that employee will easy work from remote location. By using
hardware device (e.g. PC, smart phone, modem, ) and software For accessing network.
Work related travel can be replaced by use of IT, telecommunications.

Telecommuting refers to a full or part time flexible work arrangement
A flexible work arrangement means adjustment working times and locations for a better
work–life balance
A non-telecommuter is an employee who performs job duties at the organizational facility.
Telecommuters are that employees allowed performing organizational duties from home or
other locations using technology.
The prefix ‘tele’ means ‘distance’. Teleworking refers to working from a distance.
Telecommuting refers specifically to the elimination of a daily commute.

Grater satisfaction found who used communication channel e.g e-mail, video technologies

Dawn H. Coveyduck (April 1997) : Work team, organization support is important for
satisfaction of employee among Telecommuters.
Allied Telecom (2015) they mentioned benefit of Virtual Workforces for business that is
Employees feel happy in virtual work, they were less absent in job, employees was work
harder, manage easy etc
Sneha, Shailaja (2014) Overall job satisfaction was higher in virtual team employees than
traditional team employees.

Employees are work in virtual workplace by using virtual network technology. Such Employee
known telecommuting/ teleworker / teleworking / remote worker etc. Work related travel can be
replaced by use of information technology, telecommunications.
Job Satisfaction means according to Locke in 1969, 1976 was defined job satisfaction as "a
pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one's job or job
experiences".
