Why you Cannot Miss this Event:
Global upstream spending in the oil and gas sector currently is expected
to remain set at around US$700 billion over the next decade. However it
is crucial to note that close to 20% of this spending will take place in our
very own backyard, South East Asia. Malaysia in particular sits within the
center of this hype – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak stressed
that the capital expenditure of the nation’s oil and gas sector’s upstream
business is forecast to be close to US$60 billion over the next five years!
With such movement in place, it is crucial for all engineering professionals
involved in the upstream oil and gas business within SEA to capitalise on
their technical and investment options. Combine this with the intensity
ageing structures and platforms within the region, and we have a serious
problem at hand. While current emphasis is on the development of
marginal oil fields and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), engineers need to
know how their role will evolve and what they need to do NOW to avoid
being left behind!
marcus evans 3rd Annual Offshore Structures Asia is designed for
specifically this purpose – to bridge the gap between the expectations
of an increased production capacity and the reality of combating the
various challenges that come with working with deteriorating structures.
A major part of this conference will focus on how you and your team can
construct and manage, on a day-to-day basis, structures that are capable
of withstanding prolonged use and harsh corrosive conditions. You will
also be given a variety of investment options specific to asset integrity
management approaches, technologies and their applications.
Do not miss this opportunity to take advantage of the various case
studies and expert presentations that highlight current design and
maintenance techniques, insights and trends!

However it is crucial to note that close to 20% of this spending will take place in our very own backyard, South East Asia. Malaysia in particular sits within the center of this hype – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak stressed that the capital expenditure of the nation’s oil and gas sector’s upstream business is forecast to be close to US$60 billion over the next five years! With such movement in place, it is crucial for all engineering professionals involved in the upstream oil and gas business within SEA to capitalise on their technical and investment options. Combine this with the intensity ageing structures and platforms within the region, and we have a serious problem at hand. While current emphasis is on the development of marginal oil fields and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), engineers need to know how their role will evolve and what they need to do NOW to avoid being left behind! marcus evans 3rd Annual Offshore Structures Asia is designed for specifically this purpose – to bridge the gap between the expectations of an increased production capacity and the reality of combating the various challenges that come with working with deteriorating structures. A major part of this conference will focus on how you and your team can construct and manage, on a day-to-day basis, structures that are capable of withstanding prolonged use and harsh corrosive conditions. You will also be given a variety of investment options specific to asset integrity management approaches, technologies and their applications. Do not miss this opportunity to take advantage of the various case studies and expert presentations that highlight current design and maintenance techniques, insights and trends! Business Development Opportunities: Does your company have services, solutions or technologies that the conference delegates would benefit from knowing about? If so, you can find out more about the exhibiting, networking and branding opportunities available by contacting: Peter Morgan on +61 2 9238 7200 or email PeterM@marcusevansau.com
