means of food.
Problems
 Lack of places to purchase or enjoy it.
 Lots of people as well as my friends who are not Newars have heard about
it but unable to have it.
 Lots of demands for it but lack of startups or the business proposals to
address this best rewarding idea.
 High importance from cultural point of view but has been limited as
household food and in some Newari restaurants.
 High demands of this item in Europe and in Australia.
Target Market & Opportunities
 Those “Gundruk” enthusiasts who have only heard about it but haven’t been
able to taste it yet.
 To those who wants to have it in the regular basis in their homes.
 Since ,we are planning to open this in Lalitpur with the population of around
400,000 as this food item is suitable for all age groups.
The Solution
 With this startup , “Gundruk” enthusiasts will get a place to purchase it at
reasonable price.
 Since there is no promotion of this most sought food item , our startup will
help in the promotion of this local food item of cultural importance.
 We might be able to address the growing demand in foreign nations as
well.
Revenue Model
 Production Model :- In the production model, the business that creates
the product or service sells it to customers who value and thus pay for it.
 We are planning to star the packing of quantity mentioned in below table
and is non negotiable.

 We are planning by starting the production of the gundruks and
packaging it and then transporting it to our place where we sell it and of
course production will take some time about 7-8 days approx.
 Providing the packaged service would be my competitive advantages
against those who are serving this item in the restaurants.
Marketing and Sales strategy
 Facebook will be my marketing place since it is capable to reach a lot of
people in todays societies.
 Using attractive pamphlets and boards that are visible to the customers.
 20% off for the people or the groups who buys more than 800 grams of
this item.
 Reasonable price for the customers.

 Break Even Analysis = fixed cost/(sale price- variable cost)
With the breakeven analysis ,I concluded that I need to sell 111KG per
year and the profitable period will be after 3 years.
Before the three years may be spent in establishing the goodwill and the
customers realtionships.
Competition
 My competitors will be Khumbu Organic Suppliers Pvt Ltd and other
restaurants who serve this cultural food item.
 Strategy to beat: I will provide the best homemade quality “Gundruks” with
reasonable price as far as possible.
 Advertisements with motto of promoting culture will be my slogan.
 Also packaging in small quantities that will attract the customers with the
tight budgets.
Funds and Investments Required
 As mentioned in above table the minimum funds that would be required
would be Rs.200000 for this startup to run and operate smoothly.
 The funds would be used based on the requirements and in the needy
places only. Unnecessary expenses shall be avoided as there is
responsibility for me and my team to make this startup successful.

Target Market & Opportunities  Those “Gundruk” enthusiasts who have only heard about it but haven’t been able to taste it yet.  To those who wants to have it in the regular basis in their homes.  Since ,we are planning to open this in Lalitpur with the population of around 400,000 as this food item is suitable for all age groups.

The Solution  With this startup , “Gundruk” enthusiasts will get a place to purchase it at reasonable price.  Since there is no promotion of this most sought food item , our startup will help in the promotion of this local food item of cultural importance.  We might be able to address the growing demand in foreign nations as well.
