1) Mohammad Faizalhakim Bin Ahmad Shafuan will present his MSc proposal on estimating runoff in the Kelantan River Basin of Malaysia using the SCS-CN method based on land use changes between 1994 and 2014.
2) He aims to analyze trends in land use change, climate/rainfall patterns, and estimate runoff generated under different land use scenarios to recommend flood mitigation measures.
3) His methodology will use land use maps from 1994, 2004 and 2014 to apply the SCS-CN method for runoff estimation, identify flood prone hotspots, and propose preservation of certain areas based on rainfall thresholds.
