2. Exhibition statement
Nothing provokes the artistic sensibility like grief.
Artists have always found a way to combat grave
tragedy with grave beauty. Through these expressions
of art you see that although grief is a strong and
wretched emotion, beautiful works of art can still arise
from it. There is a common theme throughout a lot of
grief artwork and that is the depiction of people with
their head looking down as though they just don’t
know what to do anymore.
