4. The mission of MCLI will be to lead our region’s manufacturing industry in:
• Branding regional industry sectors to increase sales, attract skilled
workers and attract investors
• Reporting economic impact by sector by creating and maintaining a
database of industry metrics; provide analysis to drive regional funding
• Protecting and strengthening the regional economy for manufacturers
by securing funds for broad-scope regional initiatives
– Apprenticeship, commercial transportation infrastructure, reduced costs of doing business,
affordable housing, workforce pipeline
• Creating and retaining economic opportunities for manufacturers
• Affecting the political and public policy process on behalf of the
region’s manufacturing companies
• Representing regional industry at national and global conferences, trade shows,
and other events to foster the brand and drive business to Long Island
The Manufacturing Consortium of Long Island
is an industry-led trade organization created to promote,
support, sustain, attract, and grow industry in this region.

services, providing source to find local suppliers/customers, and reporting
regional economic impact to drive NYS investment

! Branding regional industry sectors to increase sales,
skilled workers and engage investors. Trade show
materials, social media and media buys.
8. Consortium MCLI PARTNERS
! Any business that engages in manufacturing and maintains an office on Long
Island or does business on Long Island, and whose activities contribute to the
civic and economic well-being and general welfare of Long Island, is eligible to
join the Manufacturing Consortium
! All members are responsible for membership fees to cover administrative and
project costs critical to the mission. Manufacturing membership rates are based
on size.
! The Consortium will be made up of 70% manufacturing members and 30%
sponsor members.
! Access to our strategic alliance and partnership with National Association of
Manufacturers, The Manufacturing Institute and the Department of Commerce.
9. BECOME A MCLI MEMBER
• MCLI is in need of dynamic and enterprising leaders and
members who want to improve Long Island as a place to live,
work and grow industry and become the best place in the
world to manufacture and attract foreign direct investment.
