 Project: N-FOCUS.
System served the operation of Human-and-Health-Services program that aimed at protecting children
and disabled adults from abuse and depravity. The objective was to serve the operation of Human-and-
Health-Services programs that are aimed at protecting children and disabled adults from abuse and
neglect. The size of the team was about 15 application programmers and 5 systems programmers/DBA.
The project was valued as a “required service”. Budget is set by government. Responsibilities included
maintenance/enhancement of existing programs as well as developing new programs. I systematically
resolved issues. In some cases, I rewrote the whole program, like “intake” program. Application is
100% COOL:Gen client-server application. Front-end is window-GUI-COOL:Gen code. Back end is
COOL:Gen DB2 program. Recognized for delivering dependable bug-free application programs and
introducing a number of enhancements.
 Environment: Waterfall methodology, COOL:Gen, DB2, CICS, and COBOL for mainframe backend.
Windows, C++ for front end and DB2 for windows, IEFAE for unit test.
