My Aim
My aim is to provide you with a very well written ceremony that suits your personal
situation and values the very important occasion your wedding will be.
My Services in Brief.
As a Civil Marriage Celebrant I am able to provide you with your own personalised
wedding ceremony especially designed to suit your own unique needs and desires. I take
particular care to ensure that your ceremony runs smoothly, is conducted professionally
and is something very special.
Other services include all legal paperwork, planning, preparing and solemnizing your
wedding, supply of table/stand, chairs if required, PA system if required, rehearsal and
unlimited emails, phone calls and meetings, co-ordination with other service providers,
inclusion of any special rituals, music, readings or requests, personal copy of your
ceremony, memorial gift and special touches in keeping with your style of ceremony.
Obligation free meeting and/or more detail.
I am more than happy to contact you again to discuss your special day and your
requirements in more detail. I am happy to post or email you more information about
getting married, provide you with samples of ceremonies and offer any other
information I can to help you with planning your wedding ceremony if you wish.
Booking
It is important to book to ensure that your wedding can go ahead on the day and at the
time you decide upon. Once couples have made a booking with me and secured it with a
booking fee, I will reserve that date and time for them and not give it away to anyone
else. Currently my booking fee is $100 and the easiest way to pay this is by Direct
Debit. My account details are BSB 803 205; Account Number: 127264; Account Name:
Lynda Ross; Reference: Your names.
Once your booking has been secured you will receive a Wedding Package which will
contain important information to get you on your way to planning your wedding. Your
booking fee may be paid prior to or when you lodge your Notice of Intended Marriage.
This fee is non-refundable.
Notice of Intended Marriage.
You will need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage and I can give you a copy for
your convenience. You will need your Birth Certificates / Passports and also need some
form of photo ID such as Driver’s Licence or Passport. I will have to sight your
documents before your Wedding Day. If either of you have been married before I will
need to sight proof of how that marriage ended.

2. On the Notice you will be able to type in all your information and then print it out. In
that way it will be neat and legible as I will send this document to Births, Deaths and
Marriage in Queensland (BDM). BDM want pages 3 and 4 back to back. Only complete
page 3 of the Notice. Do not sign it as your signatures must be witnessed and as your
Celebrant I would be able to do this. Alternatively you have your signatures witnessed
by any of the people listed on page 4 of the Notice. The day I receive the Notice will be
the day of lodgement and you will be able to marry one calendar month from this date.
The Notice remains current for 18 months.
Fee for Service
I am happy to discuss the remaining fee when we meet. Once we have agreed on a fee it
will not change. This fee may be paid just prior to your ceremony and is refundable
should anything unforeseen happen. This fee covers all the services mentioned above.
There is a range of payment options available to you. Don’t forget to ask about any
additional services you may require as I am happy to oblige in any way I can to make your
day special and unique.
Register Copy of your Marriage Certificate
On the day of your wedding you will sign three Marriage Certificates – The Marriage
Certificate that I keep in my Register as a Marriage Celebrant; The Marriage
Certificate that I send to BDM; The Marriage Certificate I present to you on the day.
BDM register your marriage using the information on the Marriage Certificate I send
them and then archive that document. After your marriage is registered you will need to
apply to BDM for a copy of the Marriage Certificate I sent them as this document is the
one you need to change details on your Driver’s Licence, Passport, bank accounts etc.
BDM charge a fee for this certificate and require you to obtain certified copies of
three forms of ID to accompany your application.
As a service to you, I am happy to post your application, along with the appropriate fee
and Proof of Identity documents, to BDM for you. As a JP I am able to certify your
Proof of Identify documents. You may pay the fee to BDM by Cheque, Money Order or
by including your Credit Card details on the bottom of the Application Form.
