1. • Of the 9 patients, 56% had more than 3
symptoms and 75% had had bypass surgery
• 80% of those with pain had it controlled on liquid
morphine max dose 90mg/24hrs and adjuvants (
dexamethasone and amitriptyline). Showed by
decrease in pain score from 4/5 to 2/5
• 4 died without pain, peacefully by end of study
period
• control of pancreatic cancer pain can be
achieved in pancreatic cancer using oral
morphine with adjuvants when necessary.
