If you have been sweating this interview process out, you might be wondering what it actuallymeans to be in this round and like Rocky
Balboa,howshouldyou trainto bringhomethetitle.
The good news is you don’t have to punch frozen cows or run laps around Philly, you just have to do your research on the company,
be intelligentinyour interview andhopethe companyrecognizesyour meritsto callyou backfor a final round.
How Should You Prep ForYourRound2Interview?
BeforeTheInterview:
• Prep as much as you can. Go to the company website, learn about their leadership, work culture, and the position you are
interviewingfor.
• SearchYouTubeforpertinentvideos or partnerinterviews andlookat insiderreviewson sites likeGlassdoor.com·
• You should have done a lot of prelim research before your first round but this round of research should solidify why you want to
work for this firm.
During theInterview:
• Thisroundisbasicallyashow andtell processandyou have to beableto give concreteexamplesofwhatyou have accomplished
• Use real numbers to demonstrate improvements, growth, process efficiencies and the like. For example: Instead of saying, ‘I was
reallyefficientat myold job,’say somethinglike‘Ihelpedimproveprocessdowntimeby15%’ or ‘I increasedsalesby25%.’
• You shouldbeableto provide qualitativeexamplesofhow you have accomplishedresultsthroughoutyourcareer.
• Don’t be one-dimensional during your interview - show a little personality (key word: LITTLE). Show passion for what you do both
at work and outside and give examples of both. However, this does not mean busting out your new tap routine or one-man puppet
show.
• Keepthe talkingto requiredlengthsandaskthe interviewer whattheir goalsandexpectationsareof the newemployee.
• Ask interviewers open-ended questions that will get them to open up and will show them you are truly interested in the company
andthe position.
Finally,as you sweat throughthis round, just remembertobeyourself.
