Editor's Notes
- My first publicly released map way back in October 2001. I think I only made 1 other map prior to this called DM-Bastille Day that thankfully never saw the light of and can only be considered a test piece for this map here. Looking at DM-Nouveaux even now I think it stands the test of time and with it being well over 6 years old, I’m still quite pleased with the build quality and the flow of the level is quite possibly the best I’ve done. The way the level connects really keeps the gameplay moving along at quite a pace and I thought the glass walkways were a first for Unreal Tournament at the time (I’ll stand corrected on this though) If I had to level any criticism with this level I would point towards rather saturated lighting in some areas but the choice of colours was a brave move on my part – I still think they work for the theme being very futuristic and employing fluorescent blue, green and purple in liberal quantities.
