1. Principal Disposition Paper

Communication
Excellent communication skills were demonstrated during this class, even after taking
into account the challenges experienced due to the heavy load of classes I registered for and
completed during summer term. I found myself stretched to the limit and didn’t realize when I
signed up for this class that it would conflict with another class in which I was enrolled. I did,
however, find it extremely helpful to be able to access recorded Monday morning sessions
online. I was disappointed that due to commitments and the conflict mentioned above that I
wasn’t able to communicate as much as I would have liked to with other class members, but I did
participate in discussions which was a nice perk. I believe I communicated well with you as the
instructor on an as-needed basis and was able to received timely feedback when required.
Communication with stakeholders for my project-based learning experience was
consistent and regular. I met with SFHS administrators on multiple occasions and also with
district-level personnel: Alison Hanson, Nebo District STEM Director, as well as Cory Little
and Pam Turley who are Nebo Technical Service Curriculum Specialists. Their input and
support was greatly appreciated and I felt we worked well together and kept in touch throughout
the entire project. I’m still communicating with them to solidify details as to how to incorporate
and use the tool created to support professional learning and the marketing of digital learning
initiatives.
Respect
Respect was demonstrated as I worked with all those involved in my project. I felt I
showed respect in phone, technology use, and my in-person encounters with all stakeholders and
participants throughout the two month timeframe of the class. I will also show respect by
following through with my work and project even after the class concludes and we work
2. collaboratively to enhance and leverage technology in our school. I believe my efforts and the
tools created will also be something that can be shared district wide and plan to continue work to
make that a reality.
I believe the format in which I created the final product (project) also shows respect for
the professional teachers who may use the tool. I understand and respect the limited time all
teachers have due to the many expectations and requirements in the teaching profession. With
that in mind, I worked hard to create a user-friendly tool that could be used and accessed 24/7—
anytime, anywhere—online.
Deadlines
All deadlines were carefully noted and met. If there was a reason for being unable to
meet a deadline or commitment, I made sure I contacted the person and communicated the
situation or problem. When I realized the conflict I had with the class sessions on Monday
mornings, I immediately communicated the conflict and problem.
Quality Work/Class Preparedness
My work was always well done, high quality, professionally prepared, and submitted in a
timely manner. I kept up with required class work and information via Canvas and recorded
sessions. Textbook reading was consistently done and provided me with good background
information which assisted me in my research efforts.
Academic Integrity
All work submitted was my personal work and references were cited as needed to
acknowledge the contribution of others’ research and materials which were used or referenced
for project assignments. I made an effort to include current information (within the last five
years) and worked to cite sources that were valid and came from professional-level sources.
