PRESENTS
The Global Supply Chain
Conclave 2015
INDIA
Support Partner
Media Partner
Dear SCM Colleagues,
A very warm welcome to the inaugural edition of the Global Supply Chain Conclave in India. Logistics was born the
very same day when our world perhaps moved. Over the years the same evolved into its present form of a
comprehensive supply chain process. But today the most significant threat for the industry in this part of the world, is
the lack of availability of skilled and trained manpower. Logistics & Supply Chain depends heavily on efficient
management and successful operation, which is impossible without the presence of competent manpower.
Through this Conclave we wish :
a. To initiate a movement towards, Train to Transform, in consonance with the Prime Minister of India's vision on 'Skill, Scope &
Speed', for the workforce and diaspora.
b. To provide thought leadership by the creation of a platform for networking, exchange of ideas, sharing innovation and being
recognized for excellence and leadership in the Logistics & Supply Chain domain.
c. To facilitate the preparation of a white paper on Logistics & Supply Chain for the Government and propose recommendations
for bringing about impactful and necessary changes.
d. To encourage SCM professionals towards lateral thinking to come up with innovative plans and ideas.
e. To announce and familiarize the audience to the range of short term 'Quick Courses', on-site specialized training programme
modules which are best in class, by internationally acclaimed specialists, all in the domain of Logistics & Supply Chain, to thus
educate and further the process of Supply Chain Education dissemination in India.
Over the course of the Conclave, we shall bring to you the sharpest minds, the finest presentations and a gathering of global
supply chain professionals; whose examples are inspirational and whose contributions have been game changers. Finally, I would
like to thank all our business partners, associates, friends, well-wishers and colleagues for their support, without which this event
would never meet its objective and succeed. I look forward to your association and active participation in this Conclave that may
CHANGE the way we reflect upon Logistics & Supply Chain and attract better investments towards this industry for its overall
improvement. This Conclave will travel to different destinations across the globe every year.
