Fresno State will have its first Teaching Fair Recruitment
(Fresno, California)
The Kremen School of Education has partnered with the Career Center at Fresno State to
provide students with the opportunity to obtain a teaching position by hosting the largest
teaching fair the school has ever held.
The event will take place March 17, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union.
“Our goal is to give back to the community by developing excellent teachers,” said Dr. Lisa
Bennet, the Multiple Subject Credential coordinator.
The state of California is experiencing a shortage of teachers, and 200,000 jobs are estimated to
be needed at the end of this year. Fresno State is helping by putting together a fair for all
students who are in the credential program and about to graduate.
This event is free for anybody interested in being a teacher. Employers from districts all across
California will be in attendance and ready to hire and talk to any potential teachers.
