SDN Experience
Since 2013, she works on the functional and architectural
evolution of the Transport Network Controller, contributing to
the definition and implementation of a hierarchical Multi-
domain controller (ACTN), for the management of multi-layer,
multi-domain and multi-technology connectivity.
She manly focuses her activity on:
• BGPLS and PCEP Protocols,
• BGPLS-PCEP ODL Cisco Plugin.
• Design and implementation of Controller Modules in
charge to set-up the connectivity via the PCEP protocol
(and Segment Routing for IP networks)
• Design and implementation of Controller Modules in
charge to carrying out the connectivity restoration
(depending on the underlining network technology)
She actually covered the role of driver of the above activities.
March 2013 – March 2014
Internal Ericsson
Italy
SDN Experience
She develops experience in the field of SDN controller,
covering the position of Agile Product Owner for the
development of an ODL SDN Controller: MLWC (Multi-Layer
Wan Controller). The aim of the project is the definition of
functional requirement, architecture and, finally, the
development of a Transport Network Controller prototype of a
Network Controller in charge of provisioning and restoration of
multi-layer traffic (IP over WDM). The controller makes use of
the BGPLS protocol for topology discovery, PCEP protocol
3. with the Segment Routing paradigm for connectivity setup and
restoration, RESTCONF north Bound interface to expose its
services, Command Line Interface (CLI) for Node inventory
discovery.
Expertise:
• Java Advanced
• Junit
• ODL Framework
• Model-Driven SAL approach of ODL (Yang Modeling,
REST interface, JSON data exchange formalism)
• Karaf Environment
• Maven building environment
• Model Driven Design (Astha)
• PCEP Protocol
• BGPLS Protocol
• Segment Routing Approach
The goal of the project is to realize a PoC for Customers and
internal demonstrations.

SDN Experience
During this period, she covered the following roles:
• Member of S&T Team in the FDC WDM, dealing with
the definition of control plane requirements for optical
networks (WDM).
• Technical Coordinator for a WDM Control Plane project
for Photonic networks.
• Local Transition Team member, in Pisa, to support the
site Agile Transition (since 2011)
• Scrum Muster in the Pisa Agile team taking the
responsibility of implementation of a WDM Optical Line
4. Amplifier with the IPOS platform.
• Held the role of Agile Product Owner of the WSON (A
Wavelength Switched Optical Network) Project (2011 –
2012): a distributed GMPLS Control Plane for optical
network (MHL Network).
• Scrum Master of the Agile team having taking the
responsibility for implementation of the SPO family
Optical Line Amplifier (OLA)
During the same period, she collaborates with the Ericsson
Research Department in the area of Hierarchical GMPLS
Control Plane, Optical Burst Switch and Intelligent Systems
for Fault detection and forecast.
Also participates to the Innova initiative with two proposals:
o SNMP Broker for Control Plane, passing the first
stage of idea selection,
o DaVe: an intelligent diagnostic System for
Complex Network, presented at the R&D Italy
