How to Get More Involved in Your Child’s Education
Like many of the ELN centers, the Warren Street Center for Children
uses the creative curriculum, which includes a focus on parent
participation. Centers are encouraged to provide special opportunities
for parents to become more involved in their child’s education. For
example, the Warren Street Center has guest story-time reader
opportunities for parents during the month of January, where parents
can visit a classroom and read a book to the children. Each month,
parents participate in the unit of
study where they can be involved
in their child’s education. To find
out about opportunities for
involvement at your child’s day
care center and to learn more
about the curriculum being used
to teach your child, please speak
with your child’s teacher and the
center director.

Colored Tape. It will help your children to better
develop their gross motor skills.
- Purchase colored tapes at hardware/craft supply store
- Create a zigzag line; a curvy line; and one straight
line on the floor
- Follow one of the colored lines
- Balance to stay on one color
- Make it harder by doing it backwards, or even
sideways!
