Lindsey Hollywood interned here at the School for Creative Careers over the 2015
summer.
She served in multiple roles as general crew, camera operator and video editor. She
worked alongside professionals both on remote locations and here in the School for
Creative Careers. She also was given the opportunity to share her knowledge with
younger and entry level students.
In every instance, she showed a high level of aptitude in all the technical and
creative aspects that is the art of creating multi-media. Her strong work ethic served
as an example to our other students. She is personable and gets along well with our
staff. She carries a calm demeanor in stressful situations and she has that natural
intuition of seeing what a director is going for and getting to the required end result.
Lindsey’s summer project here was to edit a Sizzle reel of our “Songwriters
Carwash” music video segment. This is our newest project in which local up and
coming singer songwriters get some real world production development culminating
in a “live” recording session backed by real session musicians in San Diego’s largest
main room at the Ocean West Studio Complex.
The scope included editing the “live” 3 video camera Tricaster shots, multiple DSLR
camera stills and videos, and Pre and post session interviews. Then she had to match
the video to the audio of live interview and the Pro Tools sessions. Titles, graphics
and end credits were also done.

2. The final product shows a natural and intuitive understanding of story composition.
She weaved video segments and still photos seamlessly alongside the verbal
narratives. She used the still photos to great effect and it all brings the viewer along
the journey. During the musical segments her camera edits moved in time with the
phrasing of the songs. All edits are well placed edits and all subject matter is
correctly framed.
Lindsey Hollywood has a promising career ahead of her in whatever production
avenue she chooses.
