To Whom It May Concern
I am writing this letter in support of Lindsay Davis to be hired at your
organization. I have taught Lindsay in three classes – public relations, advertising
and public relations techniques. In these classes, I teach the students how to use
InDesign and work with real clients to help their public relations and marketing
plans. The students all have to create social media ads and public relations plans for
their clients.
For example, Lindsay and her team created a marketing/PR plan for Carter
Health Care. They had to redesign the brochures and create a video for the
organization. They really modernized the look and feel of Carter’s material. Her
teammates said good things about her doing her part of the project and her positive
attitude throughout the semester. She also worked with my husband doing video
recording for the Athletics Department. He is really shy, so he didn’t get to know the
other people well, but he said that Lindsay always smiled at him and made him feel
like he was part of the team.
Lindsay has spent much of her time in the Midwest, so she understands the
Midwest work ethic. She knows about different types of writing styles. For my
classes, students have to know how to do many forms of writing, such as news
releases, research writing (including APA style) and public relations plans that have
objectives, strategies and tactics. She has shown much creativity in all of her
projects as well as an understanding of the needs of the client and classmates.
In summary, I believe that Lindsay Davis should be part of your team. If you
have any questions, you can contact me at cprice@uwyo.edu.
Sincerely
Cindy Price Schultz
