New York Residential Loft
commissioned by a Horticulturist who
requires multiple levels and specific
needs for the collection of rare moss.
The 1,000 sq ft space starts raw on a postage
stamp box footprint with the objective to plan
and design all aspects, from program, space
layout, location of walls, materials, finishes,
furnishings, and lighting.
The challenge was to figure out how the
outside garden becomes the main feature,
creating a more symbiotic relationship
between building and garden.
