▪ As a 2nd line Transmission Engineer, I am responsible for:
▪ - Providing second level support for transmission related incidents for both mobile
and fixed Vodafone German Network;
▪ - Troubleshooting & performing detailed alarm analysis on various TX
equipments: RTNs, SIAE MWs, Ericsson Traffic Nodes & Mini-Link devices,
Bosch Marconi MWs, ECI, HUAWEI, Marconi, Alcatel, Siemens multiplexers,
ATM passports, Cisco & Alcatel Routers, Huawei DWDM OSNs and on several
RAN network devices: Huawei 2G, 3G, 4G, Ericsson 2G, 3G, 4G
▪ - Resolving the incidents remotely where there is a configuration problem
▪ - Providing a detailed explanation of the root cause of an incident and the
solution which must be implemented via Remedy ticketing system
▪ - Performing preventive maintenance tasks in order to avoid future incidents;
▪ - Providing support to Field Engineers on sitein order to speed up the incident
solving;
▪ - Ensuring the KPIs are met according to the SLA agreement;
▪ - Participating to trainings in order to increase my technical knowledge;
▪ - Ensuring that the traffic is fully restored and that no other faults are detected
after an incident resolution is implemented
▪- Escalating to third level problem management team or vendor support team
when necessary and the resolutions provided did not have the expected result
NOC Front Office Engineer – Vodafone Czech Republic
As a Front Office Engineer, my main responsabilities were:
- Monitoring the alarms which appeared in the Vodafone Czech Network, for RAN,
CORE and VAS
- Troubleshooting and dispatching Field Service Engineers when a remote solution
was not possible for several RAN & TX equipments: 2G Siemens, Ericsson &
Huawei, 3G & 4G Huawei, Ericsson Traffic Nodes, Minilink RRs, Huawei RTNs
and PTNs.
