2. Interviews
• Followed the forms and conventions as the positioning of the camera
alternates, to prevent the audience from becoming bored.
• Interviews are filmed in medium close up, with the interviewee’s eye line
being 1/3 down the screen.
• Conventional editing has also been used: Only the interviewee’s answers are
heard.
3. Archive Material
• Followed the forms and conventions as our archive material contains images ,
which relate to the topic of the documentary.
4. Editing
• Cutaways have been used in interviews throughout the documentary, in
order to prevent ‘jump cuts’, therefore allowing the footage to flow easily.

why.
5. Mise-en-scene
• Followed the forms and conventions as the mise-en-scene relates to the
topic of the documentary.
• For example, the mise-en-scene of Rachel’s Interview (left) is of T-shirts,
which is the topic of the documentary. Additionally, although the mise-en-
scene of Miss Stewart’s interview (right) is not of T-shirts, it is of her
classroom, which is relevant to her position in the school, and the purpose of
her interview.
6. Graphics
• Again, we followed the conventions as we have used graphics during
interviews, to anchor the person to the documentary, and to tell the
audience who they are.
• Due to the background of each interview being different in terms of patterns
and colours etc, we used a simple text in the colour white, as it is clear
enough to read, and serves its purpose.
7. Camerawork
• We have followed codes and conventions as we have used a variety of
different shots throughout the documentary, in order to prevent the
audience from becoming bored.
