1. The Pagan Committee Constitution
Article I
Name: The Pagan Committee
Adoption Date of RSO: October 18, 2013
Article II
Purpose: A wide-spread committee where Wiccans and Pagans can unite through
meetings, events and celebrations. This committee has come together in order to
exchange information and to interact with each other at a conventional meeting place.
Anyone is welcome as long as they are curious and open-minded. We are willing to share
information with anyone unfamiliar with Wicca/Paganism. We do not allow
discrimination towards each other or towards other groups who do not share the same
beliefs. We all just want to co-exist.
Mission: To get any interested Pagans in contact with each other to form a common
interest group. We are willing to share with what Paganism is and what it is actually
about with any willing parties.
Article III
Membership: The only qualifications for membership are that the person must be
interested and open-minded to learning about and participating in Pagan events, or they
share similar beliefs and want to connect with others who have similar interests. Being
discriminatory towards the group or individuals is not allowed, nor are slurs or
stereotypes to do with any religion or set of beliefs. The benefits of being part of this
club are that it broadens perspectives about different beliefs out there and dispels and
disproves any stereotypes about different belief systems.
There is a good chance that the potential members will become close friends and will
form a support system within the group. Mentoring each other with the help of an advisor
will be helpful when practicing because it will give members a better understanding of
what they believe in. There will be a lot of fun events such as parties, games and public
tutorials that have to do with various the pagan holidays throughout the year. They,
themselves closely reflect the American holidays.
Tutorials and events will periodically be held to raise money for the club and fund
subsequent events. Parties will be thrown in order to engage the University and their
interest level in and knowledge of Wiccan and Pagan beliefs.
Attendance for this club will be significant because meetings will be held every two
weeks, and every meeting will be different consists of very short history lessons on
Paganism, tutorials on certain hobbies such as Tarot or palm readings, and other events
decided on by members. There will be times when members will to share their
