To Whom it may concern:
My husband and I have used the services of Laura Servidone as a physical trainer for 6 months. We
came to know her when she coached our granddaughter’s gymnastics team.
Laura is a very capable and prepared trainer. It is clear that she has thought through a workout plan for
me at each meeting. She does a complete “getting to know you” interview before beginning so that she
is aware of goals and physical restrictions and then customizes her sessions with those things in mind.
As a woman, I appreciate working out with a woman, but not just any woman. Laura keeps the
workouts interesting and stimulating by changing up the challenges, which also keeps my body just “off
balance” enough to make the challenges the most beneficial they can be. She pushes hard to help me
reach milestones, but honors my feedback when I need to stop.
I am 65 years old and I am noticing that balance is becoming an issue. Laura has honed right in on that
and worked extensively to stabilize me. I’m still a work in progress, but have high hopes that with
continued hard work, I will be able to avoid falls in the future.
My husband is 70 and has an entirely different set of challenges, not the least of which is a bad back. He
is supremely confident that following Laura’s guidelines, he can make some improvements to his agility
and strengthen other muscle groups to support his back. His breathing is a challenge, as he holds his
breath while expending energy. Laura has worked with him to use his breathing to enhance the exercise
moves.
Our favorite part of all this is that Laura has such a phenomenal understanding of the human body, and
the last 10-15 minutes of our hour-long sessions is devoted to stretching, which she does carefully, but
effectively because of her certifications and college training in physical therapy. It’s our guilty pleasure t
lie back and let her move our limbs in ways we can’t ourselves, to a level of “sweet discomfort”.
Afterwards we are refreshed and ready for our day.
We wholeheartedly recommend Laura as a physical trainer.
Sincere regards.
