To be successful, an office wellness program needs to be simple, inclusive, and fun! There are three reasons why you should keep your new wellness program simple; It makes it easier for people to join in, it makes it easier for people to stick with the program, and it doesn’t take away too many resources – time and money – from other priorities. If it is complicated and takes a lot of management time, then people will find other priorities and push this to the bottom of the list. The idea is to make wellness a part of the everyday life at the office; it helps encourage healthy habits which will lead to a healthy workplace. Research shows that promoting wellness at the workplace can improve productivity and an overall positive attitude among employees; however, getting started is sometimes the greatest challenge.
