Observations
n Use of phones/iPods
n Many people were plugged in, and not in tune with what was going
on.
n People weren’t aware of the street performers, music, art that was
around them.
n Walking in groups.
n One person was usually the initiator who began to walk and a group
followed.
n There was no walk signal, so people relied on the buddy system.
n Many groups were on their phones, not talking with each other.
n People often didn’t anticipate the train going through the
intersection.
n Drivers didn’t want to stop for pedestrians. Pedestrians didn’t
want to wait for drivers.

Insights
n Constant digital distraction and disconnect with
reality.
n People weren’t focused on the world around
them.
n This often resulted in confusion and disorder.

S.M.I.T
Adderall, like technology,
makes life easier, but
diminishes our creativity.

Why should I care?
n As students, we often look for the easiest way to accomplish
tasks.
n Sometimes the easiest way doesn’t lead to the best outcome.
n Technology is a constant stimulant, and we’re losing the
ability to let ourselves wander.
n We are losing the personal connection with one another.

Campaign
n We
plan to use Guerilla tactics on college
campuses to show how the world looks on
Adderall, and then contrast it to the world
around us.
n Sidewalk art is an easy way to get people’s
attention. They are often looking down at
their phones anyway.
n Let’s make the boring, interesting.

Evaluation
n By
showing what people miss while on
Adderall, they will be discouraged from
using it to get through projects.
n Ideally
the message would be shared
across social media channels.
