Recommendation Letter for Mr. Zhi Li
I am writing this letter to endorse professional qualifications of Mr. Zhi Li. He worked under my
supervision for his thesis project (ELEC5020 and ELEC5021) at the School of Electrical and Information
Engineering, University of Sydney for a period of 8 months (2013-2014). The project was related to the
smart home automation for Zigbee based wireless sensor networks. The project required a good
understanding of TI based Zigbee hardware, mathematical modelling of networks and propagation as well as
the system architecture itself and software simulation skills.
Mr. Zhi Li successfully completed the project. He constructed a Zigbee based wireless sensor network based
on TI's equipment, together with his colleagues, Mr. Li successfully demonstrated a smart home application
by the end of the project. He also investigated various approaches to construct a smart home gateway, in
which the Wifi and Zigbee hardware can be integrated into one module.
His work was of excellent quality and had some novel aspects in it. Overall, I fully support Mr Zhi Li’s
application and believe that he would perform very well in his position.
