3. AM I READY TO BE A SPIRITUAL MODERATOR?
All of us are capable of being spiritual
How to decide if we can lead others spiritually as a Lay Moderator? Ask
yourself these questions
a) Do you have an active prayer life?
b) Do you humbly recognize that we cannot go it alone without God?
c) Are you willing to aid others in developing their own spirituality?
d) Are you willing to learn more about Vincentian Spirituality?
e) Are you willing to attend a course provided by Ladies of Charity to
help you learn about spiritual moderation?
f) Are you able to share your reflections with others?
4. HOW DO I BECOME A SPIRITUAL MODERATOR
Attend the Spiritual Moderator Training Session offered after every assembly
Two day training with Sisters and other lay moderators
Ongoing training with your assigned mentor over course of one year
Ongoing support from your mentor and Moderator community
Continued education about important ministries

and other early leaders such as Rosalie Rendu

6. WHAT I DO AS A SPIRTUAL MODERATOR
Provide Apostolic Reflections for Diocesan Board Meetings for Ladies of Charity
Assess the spiritual needs of the group when providing reflections
Individual support and counseling for parish members and the diocese
Lead prayer for all Ladies of Charity functions
Install new members of the Ladies of Charity Diocesan board
Attend and participate in mass
Composing and reciting the Prayer of the Faithful
Readings
Singing
